Every Burly sink is slip-cast in plaster moulds. The slip, a blend of kaolin, ball clay, German chamotte, feldspar, and silica, is poured at exact viscosity, then drained after the mould wall builds to between 12 mm and 45 mm depending on the SKU.
Greenware cures slowly under controlled humidity before the first bisque fire. Glaze is hand-sprayed, then the final fire takes the body past vitrification.
We measure every critical dimension with a caliper before the sink leaves the line, the photograph above is from that very check.
