The Mason 33 Double is the family-kitchen workhorse: a symmetrical 50/50 double-bowl apron-front in fine fireclay, sized for the 33-inch sink opening that dominates North American kitchen plans. Two equal bowls keep the day's traffic organised, soaking on one side, rinsing and prep on the other, so the sink never becomes a single pile of everything.
Each bowl runs 9.5 inches deep with its own rear drain, and the twin-drain layout means both sides work simultaneously: a colander of pasta on the left while breakfast dishes soak on the right. The center divide is cast slightly lower than the rim, a traditional detail that lets an oversized handle or chopping board bridge the two bowls without rocking.
The Mason is offered in four glazes, Matte Bone, Gloss Alabaster, Fired Charcoal, and Stone Grey, with an optional fluted apron. It suits granite, quartz, and timber counters equally, and it is the model we most often specify for busy family homes and rental properties that need a sink to survive tenants.

Installation & cabinet fit
Installation follows the standard apron-front method: cut-down front rail, side-wall support cleats, dry-fit, then seal. At 54 kg empty the Mason wants two installers. Because there are two drains, rough in both waste lines before the sink is set, moving plumbing after a fireclay sink is fixed is a job nobody enjoys. Both drains accept standard 3.5-inch assemblies, and either side can take a disposer.
If you are pairing the Mason with a dishwasher, plumb the dishwasher return to the bowl nearer the machine; the twin-drain layout gives you the choice, which single-drain doubles do not.
Cabinet fit: Minimum base cabinet: 36 inches. The sink is 33" L × 18" W × 9.5" deep per bowl, with twin rear drains.
Care & maintenance
Fireclay does not care that it is divided: the same routine covers both bowls. Rinse daily, cream-clean weekly, avoid steel wool and neat bleach. The center divide's top edge sees the most contact, resting boards and handles, so give it the occasional wipe with the cream cleaner too. Bottom grids sized for 50/50 bowls are the accessory we recommend most for this model.
Mason 33 Double FAQs
Are the Mason's two bowls really equal?
Yes, it is a true 50/50 split, each bowl roughly 15 inches wide internally and 9.5 inches deep, with its own rear drain. Nothing about the sink forces a 'main' side.
Can I fit a garbage disposal on one side?
Either side, or both. Each drain is a standard 3.5-inch fitting. Most owners fit the disposer on the bowl nearer the dishwasher and keep the other drain plain.
Is 9.5 inches deep enough for big cookware?
For pans up to a large Dutch oven, comfortably. Items longer than about 15 inches, full sheet pans, oven racks, need a single-bowl sink such as the Shaker 36.
Double bowl or single bowl, which is right for me?
