Burly Quarry 24

24-inch undermount single bowl · Standard fine fireclay

A clean-edged undermount fireclay sink for stone and engineered countertops. The Quarry 24 disappears into the counter, leaving the material to speak.

The Quarry 24 is fireclay for the minimalist kitchen: a clean-edged undermount that disappears beneath the counter and lets the stone speak. Where apron-front sinks announce themselves, the Quarry's entire visible presence is a precise ceramic reveal at the cut-out, which is exactly why its rim is precision-trimmed to ±0.5 mm tolerance, tight enough for the flush and negative reveals modern fabricators expect.

Under the counter it remains a full-blooded Burly: vitreous fireclay fired past 1,250°C, non-porous hand-sprayed glaze, and a 9-inch bowl that outworks its 24-inch footprint. The underside carries a sound-dampening coating, so the sink runs quieter than raw ceramic when the tap hits the bowl.

It is also our most versatile compact sink: the same body drops in with the included template kit if your counters aren't stone, and its four-glaze palette, including Midnight Cobalt, gives designers an accent option no stainless bowl can offer.

Installation & cabinet fit

Undermount fireclay demands a properly rated mounting system: mechanical undermount clips or a supported sub-frame, bonded with silicone, never adhesive alone. The Quarry weighs 32 kg empty, light for fireclay, but the rule is unchanged: the counter carries none of the working load. Fabricators should polish the cut-out edge, template from the delivered sink, and set the reveal at dry-fit.

For laminate or timber counters, use the drop-in template kit instead; the same rim profile seats cleanly on the deck with a silicone bead.

Cabinet fit: Minimum base cabinet: 27 inches. The sink is 24" L × 17" W × 9" deep with a center drain and hidden mounting profile.

Care & maintenance

An undermount rim-to-stone joint is the one place to watch: inspect the silicone seal annually and re-run it if it lifts, ten minutes of work that keeps water out of the cabinet. The bowl itself asks the standard fireclay routine, warm rinse daily, cream cleaner weekly, no steel wool. The dark Midnight Cobalt glaze shows soap film sooner than pale glazes; a quick towel-dry keeps it ink-deep.

Quarry 24 FAQs

Can a fireclay sink really be undermounted?

Yes, provided the rim tolerance is tight and the mounting is mechanical. The Quarry's rim is trimmed to ±0.5 mm precisely so fabricators can treat it like an undermount fixture, with clips or a sub-frame carrying the load.

What reveal should I ask my fabricator for?

Flush and negative reveals both work. Have the fabricator template from the delivered sink and set the reveal at dry-fit, that is standard practice for any kiln-fired sink.

Is the Quarry 24 quieter than stainless steel?

Considerably. Fireclay's mass doesn't ring the way sheet steel does, and the Quarry adds a sound-dampening underside coating on top of that.

Can I install it as a drop-in instead?

Yes. A template kit ships with every Quarry 24 for deck-mounted installation on laminate, timber, or stone.

Warranty

10-year limited residential warranty on body and glaze, including the precision-trimmed rim.
